Deal insights
Apple MacBook Pro 15" with Touch Bar is a Good Deal, offering a high-end performance package for a mid-range price given its refurbished status and strong display and memory specification. The 16GB memory and discrete Radeon GPU are above typical mid-range specs, while the refurbished condition and lack of explicit battery and portability figures mean buyers should account for those variables.
Here is why
When selecting traditional laptop computers, focus on performance, battery life, portability, and display quality. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Performance (Intel Core i7; Radeon Pro 560X; 16GB memory) : At this price segment the CPU/GPU and 16GB RAM are toward the higher end of mid-range and approach premium-class specs. The discrete Radeon GPU and 16GB make it noticeably better than typical mid-range laptops for creative tasks and multitasking. Refurbished condition may explain the price and buyers should confirm any included warranty.
2.
Battery Life (unlisted) : Battery life is a key buying factor for laptops but is not stated here; for a refurbished 15-inch MacBook Pro buyers should double-check battery cycle count and estimated runtime on the product page. Lack of a stated battery figure limits confidence about mobility and longevity under real workloads.
3.
Portability (unlisted) : Weight and thickness are not listed; premium 15-inch MacBook Pros typically weigh more than ultraportables and fit mid-to-premium portability ranges. If portability is important, confirm physical dimensions and weight on the listing.
4.
Display Quality (15-inch Retina; True Tone; Touch Bar) : Display specs match premium expectations with a high-quality Retina panel and True Tone, which is clearly better than typical mid-range displays. This display quality is a strong positive and aligns with why Apple models command higher prices.
Deal price at $814.99: sits in the mid-range band for traditional laptops. The refurbished MacBook Pro price is below typical premium laptop pricing for similar Apple models, and the refurbished condition can help explain a lower-than-new premium.
This Good Deal suits buyers who want a macOS creative or productivity laptop with solid multitasking and a quality 15-inch Retina display at a lower price than new Apple premium machines. Double-check battery health, warranty/return terms for the refurbished unit, and confirm physical condition before purchasing.
