Deal insights
The Veise VE012W WiFi Fingerprint Smart Lock is a Good Deal, offering biometric unlocking, built-in Wi‑Fi app control, and reasonable security claims for a price below its recent average. The feature set is stronger than many basic budget locks and aligns with lower mid-range connectivity expectations, though it does not reach premium-certified hardware levels.
Here is why
When selecting deadbolts, compare security rating, lock control methods, and compatibility/dimensions. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Security Rating (Grade 3; AES-128; IP55 rated; low-battery alerts) : For a budget-priced lock, Grade 3 and AES-128 encryption are typical and acceptable for residential use. The IP55 claim indicates above-basic weather sealing compared with many budget units, but this package does not match premium Grade 1 hardware or hardened-bolt construction.
2.
Lock Type & Control (fingerprint access; keypad entry; app control) : This multi-method unlocking is stronger than most basic budget deadbolts and matches common mid-range feature sets by offering built-in Wi‑Fi, biometric access, and voice integration. That breadth of control improves convenience and is a key reason the unit reads like a lower mid-range offering at this price.
3.
Compatibility & Dimensions (1.375–2.0 in; 3 x 1.3 x 5.1 in; reversible handing) : Stated thickness range and reversible handing align with typical mid-range compatibility notes and should fit standard US doors. Buyers with nonstandard backset or unusual bore sizes should confirm exact bore/backset compatibility on the product page, but the listed range is sufficient for most installs.
Deal price at $48: sits at the high end of the budget band and just below the mid-range threshold for smart deadbolts. It is priced below its recent 30-day average of about $62.16, which improves its value proposition for buyers seeking connected features at a lower price.
This Good Deal fits buyers who want convenient fingerprint + keypad entry and native Wi‑Fi without paying typical mid-range or premium prices. Double-check warranty terms and return policy given the brand and confirm the door prep dimensions on the product page if your installation is nonstandard.
