Deal insights
The Power Strip Tower Surge Protector 2000J; 12 AC outlets, 4 USB ports; flat plug 0.31in; 6ft cord is a Good Deal, offering stronger-than-typical advertised surge protection for its price and a dense outlet/USB layout that matches common buyer priorities.
Here is why
When selecting power strips, compare surge protection, outlet layout, and USB charging capabilities. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Protection & Power Rating (2000 J; overload protection; short-circuit protection) : At about 2000 J this is noticeably better than typical budget models and aligns with lower mid-range protection. That level is common for units marketed toward safer home/office use and helps justify the price being below recent average.
2.
Outlet Configuration (12 AC outlets; tower design; flat 0.31in plug; 6 ft cord) : Outlet count and tower layout are typical for both upper-budget and mid-range units; 12 outlets are common and do not by themselves indicate premium build. The flat plug and 6 ft cord match mid-range convenience expectations.
3.
USB Charging (2 USB-A; 2 USB-C; USB-A 2.4A; USB-C 3A) : Four mixed USB ports are typical for budget-to-mid-range models and the per-port specs (2.4A/3A) match common listings. This package lacks a high-wattage USB-C PD port (20W+), so it is suitable for phones and small tablets but not for fast-charging larger laptops.
Deal price at $16.99: sits in the upper part of the budget band and toward the lower end of mid-range pricing for power strips. It is priced below its recent 30-day average of about $18.22, which modestly improves value for a unit with 2000 J advertised protection.
Overall, this Good Deal fits buyers who want many outlets and useful USB charging without paying mid-range premiums. Double-check warranty and safety certifications on the product page and, if you need USB-C PD at high wattage, confirm per-port power before purchase.
