Deal insights
LOVE STORY Sun Shade Sail Canopy 2 0' x 2 3' Sand is a Good Deal, offering a large ≈460 sq ft coverage and 95% UV-resistant HDPE at a price a bit below recent typical levels; mounting hardware is basic but consistent with many mid-range sails. The overall package aligns with mid-range expectations for size and UV protection while leaving standard heavy-duty hardware and waterproofing to separate purchases.
Here is why
When selecting shade sails, focus on coverage area, material and protection, and mounting and hardware. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Coverage Area (20' × 23' footprint; ≈460 sq ft) : At roughly 460 sq ft this is larger than typical mid-range single sails and aligns with premium-size footprints; size is a strong positive for shading multiple seating areas and is above typical mid-range coverages.
2.
Material & Protection (HDPE fabric; 95% UV resistance; not waterproof) : 95% UV-blocking HDPE matches mid-range expectations for sun protection but the listing notes it is not waterproof. This is typical for breathable HDPE sails where UV block matters more than water shedding; buyers wanting rain protection should consider polyester or coated options.
3.
Mounting & Hardware (D-rings; tie and post; ropes recommended) : Basic D-rings and tie recommendations are typical for mid-range products; full stainless cable/turnbuckle kits are not included, which is common but means buyers should budget for stronger hardware if they want a tensioned, long-lasting installation.
Deal price at $102.59: sits in the mid-range price band for shade sails of substantial size. It is priced slightly below its recent 90-day average of about $108.56, which modestly improves the value proposition for this listing.
This Good Deal suits buyers who need a large shade area and strong UV blocking without paying premium for integrated cable-edge hardware or waterproof fabrics. Confirm mounting hardware needs and warranty details before purchase, and consider adding turnbuckles or a dedicated hardware kit if you want longer-term, tensioned installation.
