Deal insights
The JONATHAN Y Horizon 6.5 ft. Beach Umbrella is a Good Deal, offering typical coverage for small beach/table use, acceptable materials and convenient auto-tilt/open controls at a price below its recent average. The combination of a ~6.5–7 ft canopy and auto-tilt / push-button operation matches common mid-range conveniences while the materials read as standard for value-to-mid products.
Here is why
When selecting patio umbrellas, focus on canopy coverage, durability and materials, and operation and adjustability. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Canopy Coverage (78" diameter; ≈40 ft² coverage) : Size is typical for small beach or table umbrellas and sits toward the lower end of mid-range coverage. This footprint is appropriate for personal shade and table use but is smaller than full patio or cantilever umbrellas.
2.
Durability & Materials (polyester canopy; fiberglass frame; iron shaft; UV protection) : Materials align with budget-to-mid-range expectations: polyester canopy and fiberglass ribs are common at this price. Iron shaft is less corrosion-resistant than aluminum or alloy found on premium models, so long-term seaside durability may be average unless finishes are upgraded.
3.
Operation & Adjustability (auto-open button; push-button tilt) : Operation matches mid-range convenience with auto-open and push-button tilt, which is better than basic push-up only models. This feature set is typical for mid-range umbrellas and adds practical ease of use for beach and table settings.
Deal price at $71.06: sits near the lower end of the mid-range band for patio umbrellas. It is priced below its recent 90-day average of about $94.66, which makes the current listing more attractive for buyers seeking a mid-range footprint at a budget-friendly price.
This Good Deal fits buyers who want a compact beach or small-table umbrella with easy tilt and quick open at a modest outlay. Double-check warranty and pole corrosion protection if you expect long-term seaside use, and confirm the exact base or anchoring options if you plan to mount it on a table or stand.
