Deal insights
The CRAFTSMAN 25-Ft Tape Measure CMHT37443S is a Good Deal, offering a full 25 ft range, reinforced blade details, and standard manual locking at a price below recent typical levels. Features align with mid-range expectations for length and markings while the price undercuts many comparable branded retractables.
Here is why
When selecting tape measures, compare measurement range, blade durability and markings, and standout/locking performance. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Measurement Range (25 ft length; 13 ft reach; fractional readouts) : Mapped to a mid-range segment, the 25 ft length is typical for general-purpose retractables and meets common jobsite expectations. The listed 13 ft reach is useful for standout tasks and sits within expected mid-range reach claims.
2.
Blade Durability & Markings (metal blade; rubber overmold; fractional markings; alternating colors) : Blade construction and clear fractional graduations match mid-range benchmarks that favor coated or reinforced steel and precise markings. The rubber overmold and contrasted markings point to practical durability and readability typical of mainstream branded tape measures.
3.
Standout & Locking (manual-locking blade; retractable; compact grip) : A manual thumb lock and compact grip are typical for lower-mid to mid-range tapes. This is neither the advanced dual-lock or long-standout hardware of premium models nor the minimal locking of very cheap tapes, so performance should be adequate for routine measuring.
Deal price at $12.98: sits toward the lower end of the mid-range band for tape measures. It is priced below its recent 90-day average of about $15.04, which supports buyer value for a mainstream branded tool.
As a Good Deal this tape measure fits homeowners and tradespeople who want a trusted mainstream brand and a 25 ft workhorse for general use. Double-check warranty and return options if refurbished/open-box pricing applies, and confirm standout claims on the product page if long unsupported reach matters for your tasks.
