Deal insights

CRAFTSMAN V20 RP Cordless Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit is a Good Deal, offering a typical mid-range two-tool setup with brushless motors and a 20V battery platform at a price slightly under recent levels. The kit's drill and impact performance and the two-battery bundle align with common mid-range expectations, so the price-to-features balance is reasonable.

Here is why

When selecting power tool combo kits, it's useful to compare included pieces, battery system, and tool performance. Here is how this product performs:

Included Pieces (drill & impact; two batteries; charger) : Two-tool combos with two batteries and a charger are typical for mid-range kits. This matches the common mid-range bundle configuration and supports both drilling and fastening tasks without immediately needing extra batteries.

Battery System (20V nominal; one battery) : A 20V nominal platform is standard for mid-range kits. Benchmark mid-range packs commonly use 2.0–4.0Ah cells; the listing does not state Ah, so runtime is unclear—buyers who need long runtime should double-check pack capacity. The platform itself is appropriate for typical household and prosumer use.

Tool Performance (brushless motors; 0–600/0–1900 RPM; 3500 IPM; 1500 in-lbs) : Brushless motors and the quoted impact torque sit within or slightly above mid-range expectations for capability. Drill and impact speed/torque figures align with typical mid-range performance, making the kit competitive for heavier DIY tasks; the brushless motors are a meaningful upgrade over basic budget kits.

Deal price at $139.99: sits near the lower end of the mid-range band for power tool combo kits. It is slightly below its recent 30-day average of about $142.10, which modestly improves value for a recognized consumer brand.

This Good Deal suits DIYers and homeowners who want brushless tool performance and a two-tool platform without paying pro-level premiums. Confirm battery amp-hour capacity if you need extended runtime, and check warranty/return terms for added peace of mind.
