Deal insights
The ASUS 27" Full HD 1080p 120Hz IPS Monitor VY279HGR is a Good Deal, offering a common FHD IPS panel with a higher-than-basic 120Hz refresh and useful eye-care features at a price that undercuts many full-featured mid-range 27" monitors.
Here is why
When selecting computer monitors, look at display quality, screen size, and connectivity and ergonomics. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Display Quality (1920×1080 FHD; IPS panel; 120Hz refresh) : For a lower-mid price point this is a solid display mix: FHD IPS with 120Hz and adaptive sync is at or slightly above typical budget specs and aligns with lower-mid-range expectations. Response listed as 1ms MPRT is common marketing shorthand; real-world motion and color will more closely match typical mid-range IPS performance.
2.
Screen Size (27 inch) : 27" is the common desktop size for mid-range monitors and matches the benchmark typical for this tier. At this price the size is appropriate for general productivity and casual gaming but does not imply premium resolution or docking features.
3.
Connectivity & Ergonomics (HDMI input; basic ergonomic; blue light filter) : Connectivity and ergonomics are described as basic with HDMI and a simple stand, which is typical for lower-mid-range monitors; premium docking and USB‑C PD are not indicated. The eye-care extras are a positive for prolonged use, and buyers who need height/pivot adjustments or multiple inputs should verify those details on the product page.
Deal price at $119.99: sits near the lower end of the mid-range band for desktop 24–27" monitors. At $119.99 the price is consistent with budget-to-lower-mid options for an established brand like ASUS; no explicit recent price history is provided.
Overall, this Good Deal fits buyers who want a 27" desktop monitor for mixed office and light gaming use where smooth motion and eye comfort matter more than high resolution. Double-check stand adjustability and input count on the product page if you need height/pivot or multiple ports, and confirm warranty terms for peace of mind.
