Deal insights
The Method Super Shine Foaming Dish Spray Starter Kit is a Good Deal, offering enzyme-focused cleaning and a foaming spray format at a price consistent with budget-tier offerings. The formulation and cleaning approach are stronger than basic single-ingredient liquids, but the unclear pack quantity makes it hard to compare unit value directly.
Here is why
When selecting dishwasher detergent, focus on cleaning performance, formulation type, and pack size. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Cleaning Performance (enzyme-powered; removes fats; foaming action) : At this price band the enzyme-driven, multi-enzyme claim is stronger than basic budget cleaners and leans toward mid-range performance for spot and hand-dish tasks. The foaming action supports contact time and visible coverage, which helps with routine grease but may not match multi-chamber pod performance for baked-on dishwasher soils.
2.
Formulation Type (foam spray; scented formula) : Foam spray is a manual-clean format typical of budget/value segments rather than pod/tablet systems common in mid-range. It offers convenience for spot cleaning and pre-treatment but is not a direct substitute for concentrated pods or dispenser-specific formats that drive higher prices.
3.
Pack Size (starter kit; unlisted refills) : The starter kit framing is common but the listing omits exact counts and volumes, which are central to unit-cost comparison. Buyers should verify bottle and refill quantities to judge value against larger-count packs typical in mid-range and budget segments.
Deal price at $12: sits near the upper end of the budget band for dishwasher detergent. It is essentially in line with its recent 90-day average of about $12.17, so this price is typical rather than a marked discount.
Overall, this Good Deal fits buyers who want a plant-forward, enzyme-based foaming spray for hand-dish or spot cleaning rather than a pod-based dishwasher solution. Double-check the kit contents and refill quantities on the product page to confirm per-use cost and whether the starter kit matches your typical usage pattern.
