Deal insights
CRAFTSMAN Adjustable Wrench Set, 3-Piece All Steel, Metirc and SAE Scale (CMMT12001) is a Great Deal, offering a reputable brand and forged-style construction at a price below recent average while matching or exceeding typical budget-to-mid-range expectations on basic dimensions.
Here is why
When selecting adjustable wrenches, focus on jaw capacity, overall length, and construction and finish. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Jaw Capacity (unlisted) : Jaw capacity is a key numeric for wrenches and is not listed here; buyers who need a specific opening range should double-check the product page. Given the set size and price, expected performance is likely toward budget/mid-range typical jaw ranges rather than premium extra-wide openings.
2.
Overall Length (6 inches; compact length) : A 6 inch overall length is toward the short end of typical hand-tool lengths and aligns with compact or stubby budget models. For tasks needing higher leverage or larger jaws, this is weaker than typical mid-range hand wrenches, but useful for tight spaces.
3.
Construction & Finish (alloy steel; polished finish; box end head) : Alloy steel with a polished finish matches mid-range expectations for basic durability and corrosion resistance. The described construction is typical for Craftsman and supports the price position; it does not claim premium heat-treatment or HRC specs but is stronger than the cheapest stamped finishes.
Deal price at $19.99: sits in the lower part of the mid-range band for adjustable wrenches. It is priced below its recent 30-day average of about $33.63, which makes this listing comparatively attractive for a known brand.
This Great Deal is a good fit for DIYers and light pro use who want a durable steel construction and compact lengths without paying premium prices. Buyers who care about maximum jaw opening should double-check the exact jawCapacity on the product page and confirm warranty/return terms.
