Deal insights
The Cuisinart Normandy 19 Piece Knife Block Set is a Good Deal, offering a larger-than-typical piece count and standard stainless-steel blades at a mid-range price slightly below its recent average. The set matches mid-range expectations on count and basic accessories but does not advertise premium metallurgy that would push it toward a higher tier.
Here is why
When selecting block knife sets, focus on included pieces, blade materials, and included accessories. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Included Pieces (19-piece set; many specialty knives) : Piece count is above the common 12–17-piece mid-range sets and aligns with the upper range for mid-range bundles. This makes the set a better value for buyers who prioritize having many specialty knives and tools rather than elite metallurgy.
2.
Blade Materials (stainless steel) : The listing cites generic stainless steel, which is typical for budget-to-mid-range sets but lacks named premium alloys. For a mid-range price this is typical rather than standout; buyers seeking superior edge retention would expect named alloys or HRC claims.
3.
Included Accessories (stainless block; knife storage) : A standard block plus storage matches mid-range expectations though the description does not list additional accessories like sharpening rods or shears. This is typical for many mid-range branded sets; confirm whether a honing steel or shears are included if those accessories matter to you.
Deal price at $133.93: sits in the mid-range price band for block knife sets. It is priced slightly below its recent 90-day average of about $140.08, which modestly improves the value for a known kitchen brand.
Overall, this Good Deal fits buyers who want a full, practical 19-piece starter set for regular home cooking without paying premium prices. Great for households seeking breadth of tools and a familiar brand ; double-check warranty and any specific blade alloy or heat-treatment claims if long-term edge retention is a priority.
