Deal insights
The CUISINART Block Knife Set 15pc C77TR-15P is a Good Deal, offering a full 15-piece set and standard high-carbon stainless blades at a price below recent typical levels. The piece count and accessory bundle are in line with mid-range expectations, while the blade material matches common mid-range descriptions rather than premium metallurgy.
Here is why
When selecting block knife sets, it is helpful to look at included pieces, blade materials, and accessories. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Included Pieces (15-piece set; chef knife; 6 steak knives) : Piece count matches the common mid-range set size and is typical for mid-range offerings. The inclusion of a sharpening steel, shears, and a wood block aligns with typical mid-range accessory bundles and adds practical value for everyday home use.
2.
Blade Materials (high-carbon stainless) : The blades are described as high-carbon stainless, which is typical for mid-range sets but lacks the named alloys or HRC claims seen in premium lines. This matches the mid-range benchmark where metallurgy is credible but not explicitly premium.
3.
Included Accessories (wood block; sharpening steel; kitchen shears) : Accessories are the standard mid-range package and comparable to benchmark expectations. The listing does not emphasize premium extras (multi-stage sharpeners or specialty blocks), which is consistent with the set's mid-range positioning; buyers who prioritize premium accessories may want to compare higher-tier sets.
Deal price at $99.95: sits near the median of the mid-range band for block knife sets. It is priced below its recent 30-day average of about $124.18, which makes this listing more attractive for an established kitchen brand.
Overall, this Good Deal suits home cooks who want a complete starter block with useful accessories and a familiar brand without paying premium prices. Great Deal buyers are those who prioritize a full set and a trusted brand ; double-check warranty and return terms and confirm any finer alloy or heat‑treat details if long-term edge retention is a priority.
