Deal insights
The WORX WG801 20V Cordless Grass Shear & Shrub Trimmer is a Good Deal, offering a practical 2-in-1 cutting setup and lightweight ergonomics at a competitive mid-range price with reasonable brand backing.
Here is why
When selecting power hedge trimmers, compare cutting performance, power/runtime, and weight/ergonomics. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Cutting Performance (4" grass blade; 8" shrub blade; dual-blade system) : Blade lengths are compact compared with typical mid-range hedgers but match handheld shear expectations. This is typical for lower-mid handheld shears and suits trimming and light shrub work rather than long hedger runs or thick branches.
2.
Power Source & Runtime (20V battery; runtime unlisted) : A 20V battery platform places this toward the lower mid-range for power systems. Runtime is not specified; that omission is important for cordless tools because claimed runtimes vary widely, so buyers should double-check the expected battery capacity or whether a battery is included.
3.
Weight & Ergonomics (2 lb; rubber overmold; 2-in-1 design; pole extension) : Weight and anti-vibration handle are better than typical mid-range handheld cutters and align with budget-to-mid compact designs. The optional pole extension and 2-in-1 form factor improve versatility, giving usability advantages over basic short-handled shears.
Deal price at $89.99: sits in the lower end of the mid-range band for power hedge trimmers. It is slightly above its recent 30-day average of about $88.04, and the WORX brand positioning helps explain pricing for a compact cordless 20V tool.
Overall, this Good Deal fits buyers who want a lightweight, versatile cordless shear/trimmer for light yard work and occasional shrub shaping. Double-check runtime expectations and warranty details for cordless kits since runtime is not listed and can affect fit; consider this if you need long continuous cutting sessions.
