Deal insights
The WORX WG928 20V 12" Cordless String Trimmer & 360 CFM Leaf Blower Kit is a Good Deal, offering a familiar 20V battery platform, typical 12" cutting width, and a two-battery kit at a price below recent averages. The feature set matches mid-range expectations for basic cordless yard work, and the included batteries/quick-feed usability improve its practical value.
Here is why
When selecting string trimmers, focus on power source, cutting performance, and usability and comfort. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Power Source (20V battery; batteries) : Mapped to the mid-range segment but on the lower-voltage side; 20V platforms are typical for budget to lower mid-range models. Inclusion of batteries is a practical advantage versus bare tools, though it lacks the higher-voltage packs that justify premium pricing.
2.
Cutting Performance (12" cutting width; 75 mph head speed) : A 12" cutting swath is typical for budget-to-mid-range trimmers and matches expected performance for homeowner tasks. The claimed speed is a marketing-style figure; overall cutting width places this toward the lower end of mid-range capability rather than premium cutting power.
3.
Usability & Comfort (10.4 lb weight; 2-battery kit; quick feed) : Weight and a quick-feed head align with common mid-range usability features and improve ease of use for extended chores. The two-battery kit enhances runtime compared with single-battery budget bundles and is consistent with mid-range ergonomics and convenience.
Deal price at $114.99: sits in the lower-mid portion of the mid-range band for string trimmers. It is priced below its recent 30-day average of about $126.57, which makes the offer more attractive for a battery-kit model.
As a Good Deal this kit fits homeowners who want cordless convenience and light-to-moderate trimming plus a blower without stepping up to higher-voltage systems. Double-check warranty and battery capacities if long runtime is important, but the sub-average recent price and included 2-battery kit make it a reasonable value purchase for routine yard tasks.
