Deal insights
The SKTMYY Mini Magnetic Tiles is a Great Deal, offering a typical budget-piece count with strong magnet claims at a price below its recent average. The set matches expected starter-pack sizing and connection claims for budget offerings while undercutting recent pricing.
Here is why
When selecting toy magnetic building sets, it is helpful to look at piece count, connection/stability, and age and safety guidance. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Included Pieces (45 pieces) : Piece count aligns with budget benchmarks (≈35–45 pieces) and is typical for a starter/travel set. At this price it represents expected value for casual play rather than a large family or classroom kit.
2.
Connection & Stability (magnetic mini tiles; strong magnets; 2D & 3D builds) : Claims of strong magnets and cross-compatibility fit budget expectations of sealed/embedded magnet designs. This is typical for lower-priced sets; it does not claim mid-range reinforcement methods (e.g., multi-contact cubes or ultrasonic welding), so stability is likely adequate for small builds but not engineered for large, heavy structures.
3.
Age & Safety (36 months+; up to 8 years) : Age guidance at 3+ is standard for budget magnetic sets. The listing does not quote explicit safety certifications in the spec text; that is common for value brands, so buyers who prioritize named third-party testing should double-check the product page for ASTM/CE/CPSIA statements.
Deal price at $13.99: sits toward the lower end of the budget band for magnetic building sets. It is priced below its recent 90-day average of about $18.22, which makes it comparatively inexpensive for a 45-piece mini set.
Overall, this Great Deal suits families seeking an inexpensive starter magnetic tile set for preschool and early elementary play. It is a good pick for casual building and mixing with regular tiles; consider double-checking safety statements and return/warranty terms if that is important to you.
