Deal insights
The Shark PowerDetect Upright Vacuum AZ4002 is a Good Deal, offering branded cleaning technologies and HEPA-level filtration at a price below its recent 30-day average. Core strengths are the DuoClean/PowerDetect cleaning head and a sealed HEPA filter, while the listed capacity and corded power align with full-size premium-style uprights.
Here is why
When selecting upright vacuum cleaners, focus on cleaning performance, filtration, power source, and dust capacity. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Cleaning Performance (120 in. suction; DuoClean Detect; adjustable brushroll) : At a premium price band, the listed brush technologies and floor-detect features are typical to slightly better than typical, matching expectations for upgraded powerheads and pet/dual-floor tools. The numeric '120 inches' claim is a strong marketing signal but listed suction metrics vary across brands, so real-world pickup may depend on head design and testing.
2.
Filtration (HEPA; anti-allergen seal) : Sealed HEPA filtration is typical for mid-range to premium uprights and is appropriate at this price level. This matches premium expectations for allergen capture and supports the product's positioning for homes sensitive to dust and dander.
3.
Power Source (corded 120V; 1416 W) : A robust corded mains specification aligns with premium full-size uprights and is typical for higher-powered cleaning performance. The explicit wattage/amperage supports the product's claim of strong motor power versus cordless alternatives in lower bands.
4.
Capacity (2.02 qt; bagless) : A ~2.0 quart (about 1.9 L) dust cup is in line with larger mid-range to premium uprights and is typical for full-size models. The listing's 'bagless' note was not explicit originally, so buyers who prefer sealed bag disposal should confirm the exact bin hygiene and emptying method on the product page.
Deal price at $449.95: sits in the premium price band for upright vacuum cleaners. It is priced below its recent 30-day average of about $505.61, which makes the current offer relatively more attractive for a recognized consumer brand.
Overall, this Good Deal suits buyers who want a full-size corded upright with strong surface cleaning and allergen-focused filtration without paying top-tier premium prices. Double-check warranty and return terms and confirm any bagged vs. bagless details if bin hygiene or disposal method is important to you.
