Deal insights
The OXO Good Grips Handheld Spiralizer is a Good Deal, offering multi-vegetable spiralizing and user-friendly safety features at a price slightly below recent levels. Features and materials align with typical mid-range handheld tools rather than premium all-metal constructions.
Here is why
When selecting graters, focus on grating versatility, build materials, and ease of use and safety. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Grating Versatility (spiralize zucchini; curly noodles; round vegetables) : This provides multiple common spiralizing uses and is consistent with mid-range handheld function sets (3–6 uses). It is noticeably broader than basic single-function budget tools but not as modular as multi-drum systems.
2.
Build Materials (plastic body; plastic blade; dishwasher safe) : Plastic blades and body match lower-mid construction and are typical for budget-to-mid-range handheld spiralizers. Benchmarks show higher mid-range often uses higher-grade stainless blades; this is weaker than typical mid-range premium-material expectations but common for this sub-type.
3.
Ease Of Use & Safety (non-slip grip; ergonomic handle; food holder) : Ergonomics and a food holder are in line with mid-range expectations and stronger than basic budget options. Features like non-slip grip and storage cap are typical mid-range safety conveniences and support everyday home use.
Deal price at $17.88: sits near the lower end of the mid-range band for graters. It is priced slightly below its recent 30-day average of about $18.30, which modestly improves value for a known kitchen brand.
Overall, this Good Deal is a practical choice for buyers who want a reliable handheld spiralizer for zucchini, cucumbers and similar vegetables without paying for all-metal premium units. Great for home cooks who value ergonomics and easy cleaning ; double-check blade longevity and warranty if frequent heavy use is expected.
