Deal insights
The Lifewit Utensil Organizer for Kitchen Drawers is a Good Deal, offering an adjustable 5-compartment layout and basic plastic construction at a price below recent typical levels. The dimensions and expandable width align with budget expectations, and the BPA-free plastic material matches common entry-level builds, making it a straightforward value purchase for standard drawers.
Here is why
When selecting flatware organizers, focus on dimensions, compartment layout, and material/care. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Dimensions (13.7" D; 17.5" W; 1.5" H) : Size and expandable width fall squarely in typical budget ranges and match expected drawer-friendly footprints. The low 1.5" height is common for single-tier plastic trays and suits shallow drawers.
2.
Capacity & Layout (5 compartments; folds to 10.9" W; adjustable layout) : Five compartments is typical for the budget segment. The adjustable/retractable layout is a standard budget-to-mid-range convenience feature and gives reasonable flexibility for forks, spoons and a few larger utensils.
3.
Material & Care (BPA-free; plastic construction) : Basic BPA-free plastic aligns with budget benchmarks where thin plastics are the norm. This material is easy to wipe clean but offers less durability and aesthetic polish than mid-range bamboo or thicker plastics; buyers who value long-term wear may prefer mid-range materials.
Deal price at $11.99: sits near the lower end of the budget band for flatware organizers. It is priced below its recent 90-day average of about $13.92, which modestly improves its value proposition for a budget plastic expandable tray.
Overall, this Good Deal suits buyers who want a simple, inexpensive expandable drawer tray that fits shallow to medium-depth drawers. Great for renters or those replacing a worn tray; double-check your drawer interior width and depth to confirm fit and review return/warranty terms if you prefer longer-term durability beyond budget plastics.
