Deal insights
LEGO Super Mario: Mario Kart – Bowser's Castle 72039 is a Good Deal, offering a high piece count and multiple licensed characters at a price under recent typical levels. The set's 1,068 pieces and several interactive Mario Kart figures align with premium-set expectations, and the sub-average recent price gives it clear value versus similar branded sets.
Here is why
When selecting toy building sets, focus on piece count, recommended age, and included figures/accessories. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Included Pieces (1, 068 pieces) : Piece count is clearly in premium territory and above typical mid-range expectations. For its price band this is in line with premium benchmarks where sets commonly start near several hundred to 1,000+ pieces, so the part count supports the set's higher positioning and helps justify the price.
2.
Recommended Age (9 years+) : Age recommendation matches typical premium/more complex licensed sets, which often list 9+ or similar. This is typical for the premium segment and signals a more detailed build rather than a simple children's starter kit.
3.
Included Accessories (Bowser figure; Yoshi figure; interactive kart) : Multiple licensed minifigures and interactive elements are stronger than mid-range norms and typical for premium licensed playsets. The branded, interactive figures add play and collector value, which pairs well with the higher piece count and helps explain premium pricing.
Deal price at $78: sits in the premium price band for many building sets but below the midpoint of typical premium pricing. It is priced below its recent 90-day average of about $93.13, which makes the current offer comparatively more attractive for a well-known brand like LEGO.
This Good Deal suits buyers who want a displayable, play-focused LEGO licensed set with multiple characters and a longer build time. Double-check retail warranty and seller return terms if buying from a third party, and confirm any missing packaging or promo details before purchase.
