Deal insights
IRIS USA XX-Large High Sided Cat Litter Box, Scatter Shield, Gray is a Great Deal. The price is below recent typical levels and the box delivers expected XXL dimensions and high-sided containment that match or exceed budget offerings; cleaning and materials are consistent with durable mid-range plastic pans. Overall this is a strong value for buyers who want a large, easy-to-wipe open pan with better splash/ scatter control than basic shallow trays.
Here is why
When selecting standard cat litter boxes, look at cleaning and maintenance, box type, and size and capacity. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Cleaning & Maintenance (smooth interior; high walls; easy wipe) : For the inferred mid-range price band, smooth single-piece plastic and easy-wipe surfaces are typical and practical. This matches mid-range expectations for low-maintenance pans though it lacks sifting or built-in filters found in higher tiers.
2.
Box Type (open design; low-profile) : An open, high-sided pan is typical for budget-to-mid-range models and aligns with the category norm for easy access and scatter control. It is not an enclosed, hooded, or sifting system, so it trades advanced odor control and concealment for simplicity and lower maintenance time.
3.
Size & Capacity (30"L x 20"W; 14"H; XXL) : The listed dimensions place this at XXL footprint, which is at or above mid-range size expectations and larger than many budget pans. Size is a clear positive here for large cats or multi-cat homes and helps justify pricing below mid-range averages.
Deal price at $39.99: sits near the lower end of the mid-range band for standard cat litter boxes. It is priced below its recent 30-day average of about $49.82, which makes the current price comparatively attractive for a familiar molded-plastic XXL pan.
This Great Deal suits households needing a large footprint and high walls to reduce scatter, especially multi-cat homes or large cats. Confirm fit for your space using the 30" x 20" footprint and consider checking return or warranty terms given the product is a plastic open-top design. It’s a practical buy when you want roomy capacity and easier cleaning without paying for stainless or sifting mechanics.
