Deal insights
The GuassLee Planner 2026-2027 8.4"x6.1" Weekly and Monthly Academic Planner is a Great Deal, offering standard weekly and monthly coverage, a portable A5 footprint, and thick, bleed-resistant paper at a price notably below recent averages. The combination of expected layout, pocket-friendly size, and a premium-feel paper claim makes it strong value versus typical budget offerings.
Here is why
When selecting planners, it is helpful to look at layout coverage, size/portability, and paper quality. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Layout & Coverage (weekly and monthly; July 2026–June 2027; two-page weekly) : This matches typical budget benchmarks that offer monthly plus weekly coverage for a 12-month academic planner. The two-page weekly layout is standard and adequate for students or planners who prefer week-at-a-glance organization.
2.
Size (8.4" × 6.1"; A5 portable) : Size aligns with common A5/portable formats typical of budget planners. The pocket-friendly dimensions are appropriate for backpacks and daily carry and are what buyers expect at this price band.
3.
Paper Quality (thick paper; ink-bleed resistant; premium writing) : Described paper quality aligns with budget claims of 'thick' or premium-feel stock rather than a specified GSM. That is typical for lower-priced planners; buyers who require explicit GSM or fountain-pen friendliness should confirm the exact paper weight, but the claim is better than generic thin paper usually seen at this level.
Deal price at $4.99: sits below typical budget prices for planners and well under mid-range levels. It is priced lower than its recent 90-day average of about $7.65, which makes the listing competitively cheap for a 12-month weekly+monthly planner.
Overall, this Great Deal suits students and commuters who want a compact academic planner with month and week views and better-than-usual paper for pens. Double-check return/warranty policies and confirm paper feel or GSM if you need specific fountain-pen performance, but the low price and coverage make it a practical buy for everyday planning.
