Deal insights
The Greenworks 48V (24V x 2) 17in Push Lawn Mower Kit is a Good Deal, offering a reasonable mid-range feature set— dual 24V batteries with ~45 minute runtime, a typical compact deck and common 2-in-1 grass handling—at a price below its recent average.
Here is why
When selecting walk-behind lawn mowers, compare power and drive, cutting performance, and grass management to match yard size and usage. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Power & Drive (48V total; 2× 4.0Ah; 45 min runtime; push drive) : Mapped to mid-range, the dual 24V battery arrangement and 4.0Ah packs fit typical mid-range battery kits and deliver runtimes in the expected 30–60 minute window. Push drive is standard for compact mid-range mowers; the provided runtime is typical rather than premium.
2.
Cutting Performance (16.14" deck; 5-position adjust; 1-3/8"–3-3/4") : Deck width is toward the smaller end of mid-range and aligns with compact 16–18 in expectations. Height adjust positions are typical for this class and suitable for small-to-medium lawns; this performance is consistent with mid-range benchmarks rather than premium cutting capacity.
3.
Grass Management (mulch + bag; rear discharge) : 2-in-1 capability is typical for mid-range and budget models; bagging plus mulching matches common expectations and is adequate for routine residential use. The feature is neither unusually large-capacity nor a premium 3-in-1 system, so it aligns with the product's price band.
Deal price at $239.99: sits in the mid-range band for walk-behind mowers given common mid-range pricing. It is priced below its recent 90-day average of about $279.07, which makes the offer notably more competitive for a known cordless kit.
This Good Deal fits buyers with small to medium yards who want cordless convenience without a self-propelled drive. Double-check warranty and battery compatibility with other Greenworks tools, and confirm expected run times under your grass conditions before purchasing.
