Deal insights
The Greenworks 40V 13 in String Trimmer is a Great Deal, offering mid-range cutting width and a 40V battery platform at a price meaningfully below its recent average while including battery and accessory kit. The feature set matches or slightly exceeds typical mid-range expectations for cutting performance and power, and the lower-than-usual price makes this attractive for homeowners who want cordless convenience without premium pricing.
Here is why
When selecting string trimmers, focus on power source, cutting performance, and usability/comfort. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Power Source (40V battery; Li-ion battery; 9000 rpm) : Classified as mid-range because a 40V platform is typical for this band. Including a battery at this price is better than many mid-range listings where batteries are optional, which improves out-of-box value. If condition were refurbished or open-box it would further explain a lower price, but condition is not specified here.
2.
Cutting Performance (13" cutting; 0.065" line; 9000 rpm) : 13" swath aligns with typical mid-range cutting performance and is slightly above budget norms. Line diameter is on the thinner end of mid-range but still within common ranges; performance should suit typical homeowner tasks rather than heavy professional brush work.
3.
Usability & Comfort (17.2 lb; blower; spare spools) : Weight is typical for a battery-included mid-range combo and may be noticeable during extended use but acceptable for homeowner jobs. The bundled kit and accessory spools match mid-range expectations for usability and make setup easier compared with bare-tool listings.
Deal price at $124.99: sits near the lower end of the mid-range band for string trimmers. It is priced below its recent 30-day average of about $195.59, which strengthens the value proposition for a known platform like Greenworks.
Overall, this Great Deal suits homeowners who want a 13" cutting swath with a 40V cordless platform and an included battery kit for immediate use. It is a good fit for routine yard maintenance and light-to-moderate trimming where convenience and included accessories matter; double-check battery capacity and warranty details if runtime or long-term use are priorities.
