Deal insights
The Greenworks 40V 12 in Cordless String Trimmer is a Great Deal, offering a 12-inch cutting swath, 40V battery platform, and lightweight ergonomics at a price well under recent typical levels. Key strengths are the platform voltage and practical cutting size combined with a low sale price.
Here is why
When selecting string trimmers, focus on power source, cutting performance, and usability and comfort. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Power Source (Battery powered; 40V platform; 1 battery) : At $89.99 this maps closer to budget/low-mid pricing while using a 40V platform, which is more typical of mid-range models. Having an included battery improves immediate value versus bare-tool offers. If condition were refurbished or open-box it could further explain low price, but listed as standard here.
2.
Cutting Performance (12-inch cutting; 7500 rpm; 0.065 inch line) : A 12" swath and 0.065" line are typical for budget to entry mid-range trimmers and match expected performance for homeowner tasks. The specs are in line with common benchmarks for everyday yard work, though heavier-duty mid-range units often use wider swaths and thicker line for faster clearing.
3.
Usability & Comfort (12 pounds; variable speed; ergonomic design) : Weight and variable-speed control place this toward the comfortable end for homeowner models and are consistent with budget-to-mid-range expectations. The listed ergonomics and manageable weight suggest typical homeowner ease of use rather than professional harnessed setups.
Deal price at $89.99: sits well below the typical mid-range band and into budget-to-low-mid pricing for string trimmers. It is priced below its recent 30-day average of about $140.18, which makes the offer more attractive for a known battery-platform brand.
This Great Deal is a good fit for homeowners who want cordless convenience, lightweight handling, and a typical 12-inch cutting swath without paying mid-range premiums. Double-check whether the included battery capacity meets your runtime needs and confirm warranty/return terms if you need longer coverage.
