Deal insights
The Greenworks 24V 13 in String Trimmer is a Good Deal, offering a typical mid-range cutting width and a brushless motor at a price below recent averages. The 24V battery platform and 13-inch swath match common mid-range expectations, while the light weight and auto-feed features support easy handling.
Here is why
When selecting string trimmers, focus on power source, cutting performance, and usability/comfort. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Power Source (24V battery; battery; USB-C charging) : 24V battery included aligns with lower mid-range platforms. This is typical for budget-to-mid models rather than the higher-voltage premium systems, so runtime will depend on battery Ah (not stated). The included battery and USB-C charger improve out-of-the-box convenience.
2.
Cutting Performance (13 inch; 0.080 in line; brushless motor; trimmer/edger) : A 13-inch swath and .080 line with a brushless motor fit squarely into mid-range expectations and are slightly stronger than many basic budget units. The 2-in-1 trimmer/edger function is typical for mid-range kits and increases versatility for homeowners.
3.
Usability & Comfort (5.51 lbs; auto-feed head; 65W charger) : The listed weight (battery excluded) and auto-feed are consistent with good mid-range ergonomics, making the tool easy to handle. Inclusion of spare blades and a 65W USB-C charger adds practical value compared with bare-tool offers.
Deal price at $99.99: sits toward the lower end of the mid-range band for string trimmers. It is priced below its recent 90-day average of about $116.53, which improves the value proposition for a brushless 24V kit.
Overall, this Good Deal is a sensible choice for homeowners who want a lightweight, battery-powered trimmer with brushless performance and a 13-inch cutting swath without paying premium prices. Great for routine yard work and edging; double-check battery runtime and warranty terms if you expect heavy or extended use.
