Deal insights
The Greenworks 24V 12 in String Trimmer & 515 CFM Blower is a Good Deal, offering typical mid-range cordless power and a compact 12" cutting path with lightweight ergonomics at a price slightly below its recent average. The key strengths are battery convenience and usable ergonomics; performance matches common mid-range expectations rather than premium torque or wider cutting swaths.
Here is why
When selecting string trimmers, look at power source, cutting performance, and usability and comfort. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Power Source (24V battery; battery powered) : Classifies toward the mid-range/lower mid-range band where 20–24V platforms are common. This matches typical benchmark expectations for a value mid-level offering; buyers who need longer runtime or heavier torque generally move to 40V+ platforms.
2.
Cutting Performance (12" cutting; 0.065" line; brushless motor) : A 12" swath with 0.065" line is squarely typical for budget-to-mid-range units and a bit narrower than many mid-range 13–15" models. The brushless motor is a positive signal and sits at or slightly above what budget rivals provide, but cutting width limits throughput compared with higher mid-range or premium models.
3.
Usability & Comfort (5.25 lbs; 2-in-1 trimmer; adjustable shaft; USB-C charger) : Weight and 2-in-1 functionality align with mid-range convenience and are toward the lighter end for cordless trimmers, which aids maneuverability. Adjustable shaft and USB-C charging are user-friendly extras; for heavy-duty or long sessions, buyers should double-check battery capacity and run-time claims tied to the specific battery sold or required.
Deal price at $149.99: sits near the middle of the mid-range band for string trimmers. It is priced below its recent 30-day average of about $159.98, which modestly improves value for a known platform-level brand.
This Good Deal fits homeowners who want a lightweight, battery-powered trimmer/edger combo for routine yard work and easier handling. Confirm battery compatibility and warranty if you plan heavy or extended-use tasks, since higher-voltage platforms give more torque and runtime for demanding jobs.
