Deal insights
Glad Small Trash Can 1.2 Gallon Round Stainless Steel with Soft Close Lid is a Good Deal, offering a compact, well-finished mini bin with soft-close access at a price below recent typical levels. The capacity and simple hands-free lid match common countertop/bathroom use, and the stainless-steel finish and inner bucket align with expectations for an entry-level branded metal mini bin.
Here is why
When selecting kitchen waste bins, compare capacity, lid and access, and material/durability to match your counter or cabinet needs. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Capacity (1.2 gallons; 8" diameter; 12" height) : This capacity is smaller than typical full kitchen cans and falls squarely in the compact countertop/bathroom range. For a budget-segment or small-space bin this is typical and practical, but buyers needing standard kitchen capacity (~8–13 gallons) should choose a larger model.
2.
Lid & Access (step-on pedal; soft-close lid; hands-free use) : A soft-close step pedal is above what many lowest-cost mini bins offer and closer to mid-range usability for small bins. This access style is better than simple press-top designs typical at the very cheapest end, making it a stronger convenience feature for its price band.
3.
Material & Durability (stainless-steel; plastic components; corrosion-resistant) : A stainless-steel finish with an inner bucket is typical for higher-end budget or entry-level mid-range mini bins and improves perceived durability versus thin plastic. It matches typical budget-to-mid-range materials; buyers who need heavy commercial duty should consider higher-grade or larger mid-range models.
Deal price at $19.98: sits near the lower end of the budget band for kitchen waste bins. It is priced below its recent 30-day average of about $23.89, which makes this listing relatively attractive for a compact branded metal mini bin.
This Good Deal fits buyers who want a small, attractive countertop or bathroom bin with soft-close convenience and a removable inner bucket. Double-check return policy and warranty for peace of mind since the price advantage may reflect a modest model; otherwise it’s suitable for compact spaces and light daily use.
