Deal insights
The GORILLA GRIP Cat Litter Box Mat is a Good Deal, offering solid trapping design and typical budget materials at a price marginally below recent levels. The topside mesh coils and deep grooves match common budget trapping approaches, and the compact 11 x 17 size fits small setups rather than multi-box coverage.
Here is why
When selecting cat litter mats, it is helpful to look at trapping performance, material and backing, ease of cleaning, and size/coverage. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Trapping Performance (thick mesh coils; deep trapping grooves) : For a budget-priced mat, the mesh coils and deep grooves are typical and effective; this aligns with double-layer or textured pocket approaches common in this tier. Performance should be adequate for normal shedding from a single litter box and is not positioned as a premium deep-pocket or drain-enabled system.
2.
Material & Backing (plastic mesh top; waterproof backing) : Materials match budget expectations (PVC/plastic top with basic anti-slip backing). This is typical for the budget segment and less durable or flexible than thicker silicone or reinforced EVA found in higher tiers.
3.
Ease Of Cleaning (hand wash only; vacuum or shake) : Hand-wash and shake/ vacuum cleaning is standard for budget mats. It is not as convenient as hose-off silicone or machine-washable fabric seen in mid-range models, but acceptable given the price; consider that cleaning will be more manual over time.
4.
Size & Coverage (11 x 17 inches; 187 sq in) : This size is noticeably smaller than typical mid-range and many budget medians; it is toward the small end of the budget range and best for single, compact litter boxes rather than multi-box setups. Buyers should confirm the mat covers their box entry area if coverage is a priority.
Deal price at $11.99: sits within the budget price band for cat litter mats. It is slightly below its recent 90-day average of about $12.16, which modestly improves value for a budget offering.
Overall, this Good Deal is a reasonable choice for buyers wanting a compact, value-oriented mat with effective litter capture for a single box. Great for entry-level use or small litter boxes; double-check fit for your box and consider larger or mid-range mats if you need wider coverage or easier machine-wash cleaning.
