Deal insights
The Dell Mini PC Pro Micro Plus is a Great Deal, offering premium-class CPU cores, a substantial NPU and roomy RAM/storage for a price notably below its recent average. Connectivity and expansion are strong for the category, and the spec set aligns with higher-end mini workstation expectations even after accounting for brand premium.
Here is why
When selecting mini computers, focus on CPU/GPU/AI performance, connectivity and expansion, and size/power characteristics. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Performance (20 cores; up to 5.3GHz; 30 TOPS NPU) : This maps to the premium segment: core count, turbo clocks and a 30 TOPS NPU are noticeably better than typical mid-range and align with premium-level AI-capable minis. The CPU and NPU combination supports multitasking and AI inference workloads that exceed common mid-range performance.
2.
Connectivity & Expansion (3× DisplayPort; 6× USB-A; 2× USB-C 20Gbps; up to 2× M.2) : I/O is strong for a premium mini: multiple display outputs, many USB ports and dual M.2 support are at or above typical premium expectations for expansion and connectivity. The listed USB-C throughput and dual M.2 slots make this more versatile than many mid-range boxes.
3.
Size & Power (Mini PC; 32 GB DDR5; 1 TB PCIe) : Memory and storage meet premium benchmarks for base configuration with 32 GB and 1 TB NVMe. Some physical and power details (weight, cooling, adapter wattage) are not stated; buyers planning sustained heavy loads should double-check cooling and power specs for sustained performance.
Deal price at $1699.99: sits in the premium price band for mini computers. It is priced below its recent 90-day average of about $2070.97, which makes the current offer comparatively attractive for a premium-brand system with an NPU.
Overall, this Great Deal suits buyers who need compact workstation performance, AI acceleration, and plenty of memory and NVMe storage without paying typical premium prices. Double-check warranty and exact power/cooling specs or weight if you need sustained heavy workloads or specific mounting constraints.
