Dell Laptop Charger 90W USB Type C GAN, Latitude 5500 5501 5511 5520 5521 5530 5531 7520 7530 AC Adapter, LA90PM170 is a Good Deal, offering a 90W Dell-branded USB-C replacement at a price close to recent levels with a competitive charging profile and OEM connector compatibility.
Here is why
When selecting laptop chargers & adapters, focus on charging power, connector compatibility, portability, and included accessories. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Charging Power (90W output; 20V, 4.5A) : At this price band the 90W rating is stronger than typical budget adapters and sits at or above common mid-range expectations. It aligns with premium single-port wattage benchmarks and is suitable for standard Latitude productivity laptops.
2.
Connector Compatibility (USB Type‑C) : USB-C PD compatibility is expected for mid-range and premium replacements. As a Dell OEM-style adapter this connector choice matches typical brand-specific replacement practice and is typical or slightly better than many budget alternatives.
3.
Portability (external brick) : Listing gives a standard external brick description but omits weight. Typical mid-range/premium GaN or compact bricks are around 150–320 g; buyers who prioritize very compact travel weight should verify the adapter's mass on the product page.
4.
Included Accessories (3 ft cord) : A single power cord is typical for mid-range replacements. Premium bundles sometimes include rated USB-C cables or longer/braided cords; if a high-current 5A cable is important, confirm whether one is provided or needs purchase separately.
Deal price at $35: sits in the lower part of the premium-to-midrange crossover for laptop adapters. It is slightly above its recent 90-day average of about $32.66, and as a Dell OEM-style adapter that can justify some premium versus generic blocks.
This Good Deal fits buyers who need a Dell-compatible 90W USB-C replacement for Latitude series laptops or prefer an OEM-labeled adapter instead of a generic block. Double-check warranty and return terms and confirm the exact package contents if bundled accessories or cable gauge matter to you.
