Deal insights
FASTAGEI Crew Cab Running Boards Side Steps for Dodge Ram 1500 2500 3500 is a Good Deal, offering vehicle-specific fitment and a heavy-duty carbon-steel build at a price below recent levels. The two-step fixed board design and claimed 700 lb load capacity align with mid-range expectations, while the below-average current price improves relative value.
Here is why
When selecting running boards, focus on compatibility, step type, and construction/finish. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Compatibility (2009–2018 1500; 2010–2024 2500/3500; 2019–2024 1500 Classic) : This is vehicle-specific crew-cab coverage, which is typical for mid-range kits and better than universal cut-to-fit options. The clear year ranges help assure bolt-on fitment, but buyers should confirm trim/submodel fit for exact years listed.
2.
Step Type (fixed runningboard; two-step design; pre-assembled brackets) : A two-step fixed/drop-step layout matches common mid-range designs and is consistent with expected functionality for the price band. The pre-assembled brackets are a convenience benefit that aligns with mid-range benchmarks.
3.
Construction & Finish (carbon steel; black powdercoat; 700 lb rating) : Carbon steel with powder coat is typical for mid-range boards though mid-range often cites dual-stage e-coat plus textured powder for stronger corrosion resistance. The 700 lb claim is above many mid-range load ratings and is a positive signal, but buyers who need long-term salt/marine resistance may prefer stainless or galvanized premium options.
Deal price at $237.99: sits in the mid-range band for running boards. It is priced below its recent 30-day average of about $279.99, which strengthens the value proposition for buyers seeking vehicle-specific bolt-on kits.
Overall, this Good Deal fits Ram owners who want a sturdy, bolt-on crew-cab running board without paying premium-brand prices. Double-check fitment for your exact model year and review warranty/return terms; the discounted price and mid-range feature set make it a practical choice for regular truck use.
