Deal insights
CRAFTSMAN CMCK197M1 20V MAX String Trimmer and Leaf Blower Combo Kit is a Good Deal, offering a typical mid-range battery platform, solid cutting claims, and a useful combo kit at a price below its recent average. The features align with mid-range expectations for homeowner use, and the included battery/charger adds practical value.
Here is why
When selecting string trimmers, compare power source, cutting performance, and usability/comfort to match yard size and user preference. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Power Source (battery; Li-ion battery) : Price segment: mid-range. Typical mid-range models use 20–40V platforms and often include at least one battery; this kit matches that expectation. Inclusion of a battery and charger increases out-of-box usability versus bare-tool listings.
2.
Cutting Performance (13" cutting; 90 mph) : Price segment: mid-range. A 13" cutting swath is typical for mid-range trimmers and sits within the expected performance band. The 90 mph speed claim aligns with homeowner-grade cutting power rather than professional heavy-torque performance.
3.
Usability & Comfort (trimmer + blower; 1 charger; weight not listed) : Price segment: mid-range. Combo kits and included chargers are common mid-range conveniences and improve value. Weight is not specified; buyers who are sensitive to fatigue should double-check the product page for actual tool weight and any harness or comfort features.
Deal price at $139: sits in the mid-range band for string trimmers. It is priced below its recent 90-day average of about $156.16, which makes the kit relatively attractive for a recognized platform brand.
This Good Deal fits homeowners who want cordless convenience and simple yard maintenance without stepping up to higher-voltage professional gear. Double-check runtime/weight and warranty terms for your needs, especially if extended runtimes or heavier work are expected.
