Deal insights
The Bissell CleanView Swivel Vacuum 3836 is a Good Deal, offering expected multi-surface cleaning features and HEPA-style filtration at a price slightly below recent levels. Key strengths are familiar Bissell engineering for carpets and hard floors and a corded power source that avoids runtime compromises.
Here is why
When selecting upright vacuum cleaners, prioritize cleaning performance, power source/runtime, and filtration. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Cleaning Performance (carpet friendly; hard floors; triple-action brushroll) : Matches expected mid-range/budget crossover performance with a motorized brushroll and multi-surface claims. Benchmark notes show similar brushroll setups in budget and mid-range models; this aligns with typical cleaning solutions for this price band rather than premium measured power claims.
2.
Power Source & Runtime (corded electric; continuous use; 35 min) : Corded mains is typical for full-size uprights and favors continuous power over battery runtime. The listed 35 minutes appears to be a non-critical listing detail for a corded model; overall this is typical for corded models and consistent with value-oriented mid-range positioning.
3.
Filtration (foam pre-filter; HEPA filter; dust containment unlisted) : Filtration leans toward mid-range expectations with a HEPA-style element noted, which is common for this segment. The listing omits a full dust-containment description (bagged vs sealed system); buyers concerned about allergen containment should confirm the exact dust-seal or bag details on the product page.
Deal price at $119.97: sits near the lower end of the mid-range band for upright vacuums and above typical budget levels. It is priced below its recent 90-day average of about $133, which modestly improves the value case for a recognized household brand.
Overall, this Good Deal fits buyers who want a reliable corded upright for mixed surfaces and modest allergy protection without paying mid-tier premiums. Great for households prioritizing continuous corded power and straightforward maintenance; double-check exact dust containment details and any warranty terms before buying.
