Deal insights
The BetterNote HOURLY Calendar Refill Disc Planner Premium Paper is a Good Deal, offering full hourly weekly coverage and heavyweight 118 GSM paper at a price noticeably below recent typical levels. The layout and large 8.5×11 disc format align with mid-range expectations, and the paperweight is a clear selling point versus many budget options.
Here is why
When selecting planners, compare layout coverage, size, and paper quality to match daily planning habits and writing feel. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Layout & Coverage (hourly calendar; vertical weekly; monthly view) : Matches mid-range expectations by offering detailed weekly hourly slots plus a monthly view. This is more feature-rich than basic monthly/weekly budget planners and suits users who need appointment-level scheduling.
2.
Size (8.5 x 11"; disc system) : Size aligns with common mid-range desk planners where 8.5×11 is typical. The disc-system format is consistent with refillable mid-tier planners and supports customization; buyers should confirm disc spacing to ensure binder compatibility.
3.
Paper Quality (118 GSM; silky smooth) : Paperweight at 118 GSM is at or above the high end of mid-range benchmarks and better than most budget offerings, supporting thicker inks and less bleed. This specification is a meaningful upgrade and helps justify a mid-range price placement.
Deal price at $20.79: sits in the mid-range band for planners, near the mid-range median. It is priced below its recent 90-day average of about $32.17, which increases its value proposition for buyers who prioritize heavier paper and full weekly layouts.
Overall, this Good Deal fits buyers who want an 8.5×11 disc-system planner with hourly weekly pages and premium-feel paper for regular pen use. Double-check compatibility with your disc binder and confirm return/warranty terms if buying a refill or third-party disc product. This is a practical choice for heavy writers and desk-based planners.
