Deal insights
BLACK+DECKER 12V MAX Drill & Home Tool Kit 60-Piece (BDCDD12PK) is a Good Deal, offering a reasonable mix of basic performance, a 12 V Li‑ion battery, and an accessory kit at a price below recent typical levels. Key strengths are the familiar brand and an appropriate battery format for light household tasks; torque and chuck details are not stated so this remains best suited to basic DIY rather than heavy trade work.
Here is why
When selecting power drill drivers, compare performance, power and battery, and chuck compatibility. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Performance (basic drill/driver; LED light; mid-handle design) : At this price point and 12 V class, performance aligns with budget-to-lower mid-range expectations and is typical for light household use. Stated specs omit torque and max speed, which would matter for heavier tasks; buyers who need greater torque should confirm numeric torque or choose a mid-range 18–20V kit.
2.
Power & Battery (12 V Li-ion; 1.5 Ah) : A single 12 V Li‑ion with ~1.5 Ah capacity matches common compact cordless offerings and is typical for budget and compact mid-range kits. This setup favors portability and light-duty runtime rather than long runtimes or trade-level duty cycles found on 18–20V 2.0–3.0 Ah platforms.
3.
Chuck & Compatibility (basic drill type; chuck unlisted) : Typical budget/mid compact kits usually include a 3/8" keyless chuck or a 1/4" hex holder; absence of a stated chuck type makes compatibility with larger bits unclear. Buyers intending to use larger-diameter bits should verify the chuck size on the product page.
Deal price at $89.99: sits near the lower end of the mid-range band for power drill drivers. It is priced below its recent 30-day average of about $99.98, which makes the offer more attractive given a known household brand.
As a Good Deal, this kit fits homeowners and casual DIYers who want a compact 12 V cordless driver and a broad accessory set without paying mid-to-premium tool prices. Double-check chuck size and published torque on the product page if you plan heavier drilling or to use larger bits; confirm warranty/returns for peace of mind.
