Deal insights
BIC Gelocity Quick Dry Gel Pens Ocean Theme 0.7mm is a Good Deal, offering a common 0.7mm tip, quick-dry dye gel performance, and an 8-count pack at a price below recent typical levels. The features match standard budget expectations and the below-average price adds clear short-term value for everyday use.
Here is why
When selecting gel ink pens, look at tip size, ink performance, and pack size. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Tip Size (0.7 mm; medium line) : 0.7 mm is typical for both budget and mid-range pens and matches common user preference for medium lines. For a budget-priced pack this is in line with expectations and not a differentiator toward premium.
2.
Ink Performance (gel ink; dye-based; quick-dry) : Dye-based quick-dry gel is typical for budget offerings and fits the expected performance profile. It is not archival or pigment-grade ink, so longevity and water resistance are weaker than premium benchmarks.
3.
Pack Size (8-count; multi-pack value) : An 8-pack sits squarely within typical budget and mid-range pack sizes and aligns with value-oriented multi-packs. The pack size helps explain the lower per-pen cost versus single premium pens.
Deal price at $8.68: sits near the middle of the budget band for gel ink pens. It is priced below its recent 90-day average of about $10.63, which makes this pack relatively inexpensive for a recognizable brand.
This Good Deal is appropriate for students, office supply refreshes, and anyone wanting reliable quick-dry gel pens in medium (0.7mm) tip sizes. Double-check return or warranty terms if you prefer renewed/open-box items, otherwise the lower-than-average price and familiar BIC brand make it a practical buy.
