Deal insights
The BIC Gelocity Quick Dry Black Gel Pens is a Good Deal, offering standard 0.7 mm tips, quick-dry dye gel ink, and a 12-count pack at a price below its recent average. Features align with budget benchmarks and the lower-than-average price improves value for everyday writing and school or office supply purchases.
Here is why
When selecting gel ink pens, compare tip size, ink performance, and pack size to match writing feel and drying needs. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Tip Size (0.7 mm; medium tip) : At this budget price point, 0.7 mm is typical and comfortable for general writing. This matches budget benchmarks where 0.5–0.7 mm options are common and does not by itself push the product into a higher price band.
2.
Ink Performance (gel ink; quick-dry; smear-resistant) : Dye-based quick-dry gel ink is typical for budget gel pens and aligns with expectations for low-smear everyday performance. It is not archival pigment chemistry found in premium pens, but it meets common mid-use durability claims for this price segment.
3.
Pack Size (12 count; multipack) : A 12-count pack is standard and expected in the budget tier, providing value through quantity rather than premium features. The pack size is consistent with common budget benchmarks and helps explain the competitive unit price.
Deal price at $7.73: sits near the lower end of the budget band for gel ink pens. It is priced below its recent 30-day average of about $10.95, which makes this listing comparatively cheaper than typical recent offers.
Overall, this Good Deal suits buyers who want everyday quick-dry gel pens in a multipack for note-taking, school, or office use. Confirm you prefer a 0.7 mm medium tip for your writing style and consider warranty/return terms if purchasing for bulk or institutional use.
