Deal insights
BIC Clic Stic Black Retractable Ballpoint Pens is a Good Deal, offering a familiar hybrid-style black ink, standard medium tip size, and a practical 24-count pack at a reasonable branded price point. Features align with expectations for an economy-to-mid-range multipack: familiar ink chemistry and disposable construction deliver predictable everyday performance.
Here is why
When selecting ballpoint pens, consider ink performance, tip size, pack count, and refillability. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Ink Performance (hybrid ink; black ink) : Hybrid-style ink matches mid-range expectations for smoother, quick-drying writing compared with basic oil-only formulas and is typical for branded multipacks at this price band.
2.
Writing Tip Size (ballpoint tip; medium line) : A medium ballpoint tip is typical for budget and lower mid-range pens and aligns with the common ≈1.0 mm expectation; it is neither unusually fine nor bold for the price segment.
3.
Pack Size (24 pens) : A 24-count fits squarely within common multipack ranges and is typical value packaging for budget-to-mid-range offerings, which helps unit economics for regular users.
4.
Refillability & Refill Type (disposable) : Being disposable is normal for economy branded multipacks; refillability would be more typical of higher mid-range or premium models, so this matches the expected tradeoff of lower upfront cost for no refill ecosystem.
Deal price at $8.54: sits near the lower end of the mid-range band for ballpoint pen multipacks. It is slightly above its recent 90-day average of about $8.29; given the BIC brand and a 24-count pack, the price is consistent with branded economy multipacks.
Overall, this Good Deal fits buyers who need a dependable bulk pack of everyday black pens for school, office, or household use. Confirm return/warranty terms if refurbished/open-box pricing appears, and double-check you prefer disposable pens rather than refillable models before buying.
