Deal insights
BIC Round Stic Grip Xtra Comfort Ballpoint Pens (36 Count) Black/Blue is a Good Deal, offering a large multipack with smooth hybrid-style ink and a bold 1.2 mm tip at a price aligned with common budget multipacks. The disposable design and pack size match budget expectations while the hybrid/ Easy-Glide ink claim and grip focus deliver reliable everyday writing value.
Here is why
When selecting ballpoint pens, focus on ink performance, tip size, pack count, and refillability. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Ink Performance (hybrid-style ink; Easy-Glide; smooth flow) : Matches budget expectations where oil-based or hybrid-like inks are common. The Easy-Glide/hybrid claim is consistent with better-than-basic smoothness typical for higher-budget-leaning budget packs, but no durability or archival metrics are stated.
2.
Writing Tip Size (1.20 mm; medium point) : A 1.2 mm tip is toward the bolder end compared with typical budget ~1.0 mm and is less common in mid-range or premium models. This suits users who prefer thicker, darker lines but is not a premium signal by itself.
3.
Pack Size (36 Count; multipack) : Pack size is typical for budget multipacks and aligns with common value-oriented offerings. A 36-count helps justify the per-unit economics seen in budget benchmarks.
4.
Refillability & Refill Type (disposable) : Disposable construction is typical for budget packs. Mid-range and premium benchmarks more often advertise refillability, so lack of refillability is expected and consistent with the price band.
Deal price at $6.75: sits near the middle-to-upper end of typical budget packs for ballpoint pens. It is slightly above its recent 90-day average of about $6.48, which modestly reduces the price advantage.
Overall, this Good Deal fits buyers who need an economical bulk supply for general writing, classrooms, or offices and prefer a bolder 1.2 mm line. Double-check return or warranty terms if you care about refillability, but for straightforward bulk use the price and feature mix are appropriate.
