Amazon Basics LARGE Trash Can 13.2 Gallon (50L) Rectangular with Soft-Close Lid is a Good Deal, offering a full-size 13.2-gallon capacity, soft-close and pedal access, and a brushed stainless finish at a mid-range price that is modestly below recent typical levels.
Here is why
When selecting kitchen waste bins, it is helpful to look at capacity, lid and access style, and material/durability. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Capacity (13.2 gallons; ≈50 L) : Mapped to the mid-range segment, this 13.2-gallon capacity matches the typical mid-range kitchen bin. It sits squarely where buyers expect full-size kitchen capacity and is appropriate for single-can kitchen use.
2.
Lid & Access (foot pedal; soft-close lid; stay-open option) : These access features are typical to better mid-range models: pedal operation plus soft-close is in line with expectations. The stay-open and multiple access modes add convenience consistent with mid-range benchmarks.
3.
Material & Durability (brushed stainless; smudge-resistant) : Material and finish align with mid-range norms where fingerprint-resistant stainless is common. This matches the expected durability and appearance for the price band rather than premium heavy-gauge construction.
Deal price at $79.99: sits near the median of the mid-range band for kitchen waste bins. It is priced below its recent 90-day average of about $89.09, which makes the current offer comparatively more attractive for a mid-range stainless model.
This Good Deal fits buyers who want a standard kitchen-sized bin with durable stainless styling and convenience features such as soft-close and pedal operation. Confirm warranty/return terms and check the inner bucket/liner details if ease of bag changes is important; the below-average recent price makes it a sensible value for everyday kitchen use.
