Deal insights
ACAUTO Rear View Backup Camera for Chrysler Town & Country is a Good Deal, offering typical budget-level 720p wide-angle video and clear vehicle-specific compatibility at a price slightly below recent averages. The core strengths are the plug-and-play fit for Chrysler/Dodge models and a wide 170° field of view; weather sealing is not stated so buyers who need heavy-duty outdoor ratings should confirm ingress protection.
Here is why
When selecting vehicle backup cameras, focus on video quality, installation/compatibility, and weather resistance. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Video Quality (720p resolution; 170° wide-angle; CCD/CMOS sensor) : For a budget-priced camera, 720p and a 170° FOV are typical and match common expectations in this band. The listed specs align with basic analog/SD-level offerings; this is not at mid-range 1080p performance but is acceptable for standard reversing visibility.
2.
Installation & Compatibility (surface mount; RCA connector; Chrysler/Dodge fit) : Vehicle-specific replacement fitment and OE reference numbers are characteristic of budget OEM-style parts and are a clear strength for buyers of those models. This matches typical budget benchmarks where plug-and-play or direct-replacement mounts drive value.
3.
Weather Resistance (no ingress rating) : Benchmark budget cameras often state IP67/IP68, so the absence of a clear rating is weaker than typical for mid-range expectations and leaves a gap for buyers needing proven outdoor durability. Buyers who will expose the camera to frequent wet or pressure-wash conditions should double-check the listing or seller for explicit IP or sealing details.
Deal price at $27.67: sits at the upper end of the budget band for vehicle backup cameras. It is priced below its recent 90-day average of about $30.61, which modestly improves the value signal for this direct-fit replacement.
This Good Deal suits owners of Chrysler Town & Country or compatible Dodge Grand Caravan who want an inexpensive, direct-replacement rear camera with wide coverage. Double-check the product page for weather resistance and connector fit if you plan exposed or heavy-duty use; the below-average recent price and vehicle-specific OE references make it a practical budget replacement option.
